“Losing is the heaviest phase in every human. Many of us have ever felt loss in our life, may it be a loved one, wealth, or maybe a job. It’s really hard to move on and get on with our life after losing something that means so much to us, but Undelayed invites us not to giving up and try to accept all destiny with relieved.
‘Meninggalkan Kehilangan’ is a brand-new song from Undelayed, metalcore band from Bintaro, South Jakarta. After almost a year of not releasing new content, the band that is now fronted by Yanuar Rizky (Vocal), Dzikri Mufidi (Guitar), Edrian Purnama (Guitar), Raga Maharasta (Bass) and Yudha Erlangga (Drums) are back with a new song.
This song tells the story of someone who lost a meaningful figure to him. It felt very honest and personal because the lyrics in this song are lifted from Yanuar Rizky’s personal experience.
“As a human being, the process of losing is a stage that must be passed. Although it’s uncomfortable in the process, but for the sake of happiness, it must be done. Because every human being deserves to be happy.” Yanuar said about the essence of this song.
Metalcore remains the main weapon of Undelayed, but they tried to present Metalcore with a more sentimental approach. A low-pitched ambient guitar combined with heavy breakdowns and emotional choruses. The influence of band like Architects, Northlane, Invent, Animate to Padi and Peterpan feels thick in this song.
“Padi and Peterpan are known as alternative rock bands that have a thick vulnerable side in each of their lyrics and music. That side is what I think is the best fit for Undelayed right now. Simultaneously because the lyrics is in Bahasa Indonesia, it will be very natural if we took inspiration from Indonesian bands as well. Maybe it will feel fresh because almost all Metalcore bands in Indonesia sounds like foreign Metalcore band.” said Raga Maharasta.”
