Korean Pop Punk Band WHATEVER THAT MEANS Release New Album / Japan Tour

Korean pop punk stalwarts …Whatever That Means are kicking off their spring ‘Winding Roads Tour’ this weekend in Kobe and Osaka, Japan. This will be WTM’s first international tour since before the pandemic and will be the official release of their new album “Singles 2009-2023.”

WTM’s bassist Trash explained, “We realized we had so many old songs that were on demos, EPs, comps, and splits that we never put up on streaming. So the original idea was just to put them all together on a singles album. Then the idea kept growing. We recorded a new song for the album, and we added a few live tracks that we recorded at our 10-year anniversary show back in 2019. Since Jeff runs Binary Studios, he also decided to completely remix the songs from our old split album with Burn Burn Burn (Seattle) and our Asian Prodigy cover.”

The 22 tracks come from over 14 years of playing and have a running time of just under 1 hour. After Japan, WTM will also be playing shows around Korea finishing with their appearance at this year’s IT’S A FEST in June at Hanagae Beach on Muui Island.

A limited number of CDs have been pressed and are available directly from the band. The album is now streaming below!
