Humanitarian Organization Metal For Nepal Release Amazing Documentary Videos [Nepal]

We are very proud to support humanitarian organizations anywhere on the planet, but especially here in Asia. Metal for Nepal is one of those organizations that we back HARD. Please read the full write-up below:

Metal For Nepal is a genuine effort to unite the global heavy metal and tattoo community to provide support for some of the most underprivileged and disadvantaged children in Nepal.

After the pandemic last year, we recently restarted our project and ever since have adapted and done quite a few things covering a wide range of areas. We helped thousands of migrant workers who were stranded on the Nepal-India border with supplies like food, water, masks, sanitation products. We then fed daily wage workers whose means of living was gone due to lockdown for over the period of 4 months with the help of our local implementing partners. We reached out to marginalized indigenous communities like Tharu and Chepang and distributed ration packages that would last for 45 days for 70 and 85 families respectively.

We have responded to flood victims, went to provide food rations for 250 families in the brick factory which was shut by the lockdown. We then supported NGOs who vaccinated the district of Manang and distributed Christmas gifts for the orphanages in Kathmandu.

Most of the work we did was mostly a reactive response to the humanitarian crisis. Now, we want to solely focus on the impoverished children for their welfare and to have access to education.

We have been running a campaign called ‘Warm Smiles’ whereby we go to extremely remote regions of Nepal to distribute warm jackets to the children in these schools, who are very poor and do not have access to the basics of life. Most of the region borders Tibet and is considered the highest human settlement on earth. Our aim is to keep children warm, so they don’t miss the winter classes in these regions. So far, we have reached out to Dolpa and Humla (totaling more than 1000 children) – two of the most remote and inaccessible regions of Nepal.

On our next project, we are going to two schools in the district of Gorkha and we hope that people would give us support to continue our work. People can simply make a donation on our website or they can purchase cool merchandise and for every hoodie they purchase we can get 5 warm jackets for the children. So this Christmas we could really keep more children warm in the Himalayas of Nepal.
