Happy International Women’s Day From Us at Unite Asia

Today’s a very special day to celebrate women around the world for all they’ve done and all they continue to do for humankind. Through all their hardships, ridicule, objectification, women should be running the world. Unfortunately, we are still a patriarchal society and thus women get relegated to lesser pay and to the lower rungs of society in many places around the world.

There are people all over the world trying to change that. Every. Single. Day.

Today and every day you should stop and think about how you’re moving the conversation along. What are you doing to make sure that the conversation, your environment, your place of work, includes diverse voices that help you see different perspectives? I am lucky because I grew up amongst women (my mom and two sisters), I am married to a strong woman and have a strong-willed daughter who knows what she wants and has zero understanding of gender inequality as an 8-year old, I work in elementary school where 95% of my colleagues are women.
