From Guiness on Tap to a 6 Track Debut EP – Hardcore Band Heel Drop The Goods [Singapore]

Singaporean hardcore band Heel have just dropped their debut EP entitled ‘Not Good For You’. “We came together due to our common love for Guinness on tap.” Okay, good to know fellas. “We’re also a mish-mash of a whole spectrum of personal tastes that range from Boom Bap to Shoegaze and power metal to Manyao (Chinese-centric EDM that is highly popular in seedy, slightly grimy “clubs” locally).” Sick.

Clearly the band doesn’t take themselves too seriously, but the shit’s still HARD. “The EP is written from the point of view of someone lashing out at those around him just as he realizes how much he loathes himself. NOT GOOD FOR YOU is a tribute to all the negative thoughts, actions, and emotions that people bottle up all the time so as to remain “normal” and as “socially acceptable” as possible.”

Heel wants to leave all y’all with the following profound take on heavy ass hardcore. “We aim to squeeze out as many groovy bangers as possible before proper adulthood grabs all five of us by the balls. That or we get sponsored by Guinness, whichever comes first.”

Go celebrate the band’s EP release show on June 3rd and bring them some Guiness. Details HERE.
