FORESTS Gets Stuff Stolen – Launch Gofundme – “We’re Getting the Full US Tour Experience”

POST UPDATE May 4th:
“sorry long post 💖

yo diy community gang we can’t thank you all enough for the support you’ve shown in the last two days. in less than 4 hours of posting, we met our GoFundMe goal. yesterday, we bought a couple of replacement instruments with the money we raised. while we’re sad that we lost some very sentimental items, we’re also riding a wave of optimism from all the love and support. we wish we could personally thank each one of you who shared, donated, or sent kind words. we truly couldn’t ask for a better community. from the bottom of our hearts, thank you 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
anyways, the show must go on… tonight the gang plays in las vegas”

Amazing Singaporean emo/math band FORESTS are currently touring across USA:

Yet after a handful of shows, the band has reported that their van was broken into the asshole ran off with some priceless equipment and cash. The band has launched a gofundme so please help if you can. It’s not easy for bands from Asia to gather up the funds to then tour in the US, so to have this happen is pretty discouraging. However, in true FORESTS style, they always handle adversity with humor. Their response has been “Well, we are certainly getting the full US tour experience! Aside from this, it’s been amazing so far!”

Here’s what took place:

“We have done Seattle, Portland and Oakland so far. In Oakland yesterday we got our van broken into. We woke up in the morning to find some gear missing when we were loading up our bags in the van. Only realized after loading up that there was still a lot of space and it turns 2 basses, 1 guitar, and Ben Quad’s money box were all taken. We made a police report and contacted all the nearby pawn shops, just gotta wait and see how it plays out now!

We are currently on our way to LA, will hit up a music shop or something first before going to the venue tonight.”
