GYHT is a shoegaze electronic band from the Philippines which consists of Rosan, Patrick, and Brucher. GYHT means: “Goodbye Yesterday Hello Today”. They started playing at different gigs on the year 2011 with original songs inspired by How To Destroy Angels and Nine Inch Nails. They released a self-titled full-length album last November 2014 with a very raw industrial, electronic sound. The band and their album was featured in a Filipino music magazine called Pulp. After a year, they were invited in some music festivals in Manila like Fete De La Musique. On January 18th, 2017 they were included in the line up for the Nothing concert in Manila. The vocalist even joined the Philly shoegaze band on stage while singing “Vertigo Flowers”. After a few months they decided to release their long overdue songs as an EP album via Bandcamp. They started writing these songs on the year 2015 where they were heavily influenced with shoegaze bands like Nothing, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Depreciation Guild and even post metal bands like Jesu. They decided to change their sound from aggressive electronic industrial to shoegaze electronic.
They released their album entitled “Maybe In Another Universe I Deserve You” last April 17, 2017 with single called “Moving Parts”. They also love comic books with multiverse stories, thus the name of the EP title.
