[FILE FIXED!!!!] Chinese punk rock legends SMZB premiere music video on UniteAsia

Chinese political punk rock band SMZB – widely considered the godfathers of Chinese punk rock, have released a politically charged music video for the song ???? off their Letter to China album released in 2011. The band is celebrating their 20 year anniversary this year having started in 1996. In this time the band has seen punk rock grow from very humble beginnings, and led the charge from their hometown of Wuhan. The band is certainly a political one, and has not been fearful of including lyrics/content that is deemed “inappropriate” by the powers that be, and thus, have landed them on a blacklist up in China. Lead vocalist and founder Wu Wei has had his phones tapped and has been under careful watch. Yet, he continues to do what he does by using his voice to promote a better awareness of things going on in China.

As a community of Asian/worldwide punk rockers, it is our job and responsibility to spread the word about bands like these guys who are persecuted for speaking the truth. Punk rock should be about solidarity and we at UniteAsia.org certainly stand strong and proud with our brothers in SMZB!
