Emotional Hardcore Band Factor2Grace Return With Song Inspired by Friend’s Passing [Japan]

As someone from Hong Kong, I’m so touched that a Japanese band has released a brand new song ‘Remnant’ inspired by the passing of a vocalist of an indie-rock band from here.

Japanese emotional hardcore band Factor2Grace have suddenly returned after breaking up back in 2006 with 2 brand new songs. According to the band, they were very close to a band from Hong Kong called Whence He Came and when they heard the passing of their vocalist, Joshua, the band was inspired to write new music.

The vocalist of the band, Joshua, passed away after battling cancer for a long time. If you look at the cover art below, that’s Joshua on the cover – his black tele is instantly recognizable. This beautiful painting was completed by factor2grace’s drummer’s sister.
