China’s brand new music festival Echo Park announce first lineup – ENVY!!!!

Echo Park

Echo Park is a brand new music festival that will take place in Shanghai, China the weekend of September 19 and 20. The guys behind this festival have already been at the Chinese festival circuit for around 4 years now…they’ve taken what they’ve learned from those experiences to breathe life into a whole NEW venture entitled Echo Park. I know from personal communication with these organizers – that the way they run their events is nothing short of professional and thus, will be spec-fucking-tacular.

They’ve announced the first batch of bands that are confirmed to perform at this inaugural event…and ENVY is in that list! Jesus…I couldn’t even write this post properly because my hands are shaking I’m SO excited to see Envy!

I am DYING to see what the second batch of bands will be…those will be announced soon. One of them, I’m privy to know, will blow the minds off people’s heads…

“ECHO PARK FIRST LINEUP REVEAL + EARLY BIRD TICKETS!

Here it is, folks. The moment you’ve been waiting for: the first round of artists playing at Echo Park this September.

For this first round (much more to come!) we’re proud to announce Young Fathers, the red-hot British contemporary hip-hop group; the seminal Japanese hardcore band Envy (envy Official); and My Chemical Romancefrontman Gerard Way.

Closer to home, we’ve got Hong Kong indie darlings Chochukmo, electro-rock veterans Duck Fight Goose, groovy jazzmeisters Project Ace and The Big Wave (???), who’ve been making….large tidal formations.

Also, our Early Bird tickets can now be reserved online! 200RMB/day or 300RMB for a whole weekend less ordinary. Walk this way to wonder, spark and colour: http://echopark.cn ”
