Bloodaxe Festival started in 2000 by Koba the vocalist of prominent Tokyo hardcore band Loyal to the Grave. Through Koba’s constant struggle and the effort of the entire Bloodaxe 168 Crew to build Tokyo’s hardcore scene for the past 15 years, Bloodaxe Festival has now established itself as Japan’s BIGGEST hardcore festival. Japan is renown for having a huge punk rock and hardcore scenes. What Bloodaxe Festival does is represent the broader Japanese hardcore scene – especially those bands that are heavily influenced by newschool hardcore, metalcore, NYHC, and the festival even features Japan’s latest up and coming hardcore bands.

He knows the bands all over Asia and reaches out to them to befriend them…I know, because we in King Ly Chee became friends with this guy the same way – random email one day, and it was on.
