Black Metal Act Holyarrow Drop Epic New EP [China]

Pest Productions have dropped a new release for Chinese black metal act Holyarrow:

“Imperial Chinese Black Metal Attack! As the war horns signaled the triumphant march of the imperial troops, while the unstoppable fleets broke through the turbulent and mountainous waves, Holyarrow once again brought us back to Ming Dynasty’s battlefields of blood and honor with their latest ep titled Oath of Allegiance II. Thematically this release serves as a continuation of the tales about the Imperial Ming troops and Amoy’s local heroic resistances lauded in their debut full length: with two songs of lengthy yet ferocious version of epic black metal, this ep brings on stage Zhu Jin (Son of Koxinga) ‘s 1674’s conquest of the western tribes and the last great battle of Tunging (1683) — the Battle of Penghu. Just like their previous releases, Holyarrow’s trademarked blending of traditional Chinese elements and a songwriting that pays loyal tributes to the golden legacy left by old legends like Bathory and Graveland is prominent and even more matured in this latest output: with riffs and solos reminiscent of both Bathory’s pagan spirits and melodies from China’s honorable past, as well as the majestic atmosphere conjured up through the epic and sometimes emotional passages of synth and choirs. Therefore, it would be truly misjudging to label Holyarrow as some mediocre folk metal band. Let the archers lead you onto the fronts of glory and indulging yourself in another grand Saga as Holyarrow unleashed their newest battle cry of honor.”
