Mothflesh would like to announce the release of their latest music video for their new single, “The Lotus Denial”.

Mothflesh is a 3-piece Kuala Lumpur-based metal band formed in 2018. Their sound is best described as a symbiotic evolution of contemporary aggressive music; fusing the pendulum-like grooves of modern hardcore and late 90’s metalcore whilst taking proficient pages out of the technical death-metal playbook.

If you’re a fan of bands like Fit for an Autopsy, Jinjer or something a little more technical like Car Bomb or Decapitated, keep this band under your musical radar because they’ll be dropping their album on the 12th of December 2021.

The Lotus Denial’s lyrical theme highlights our intertwining relationship with advancing technology and addiction dependency. As we progress through an age of technology, we have a limited understanding of the effects of technology on human emotions, relationships and mental wellbeing. Without revealing too much, The Lotus Denial allegorizes technology’s transformation into a socially acceptable opiate, creating a new breed of addicts that refuse to acknowledge the present reality beyond the digital realm.
