Annual Taiwanese Punk Festival – Punk Strike Festival Announce Full Lineup and Ticketing Info

If any of you out there have been following the Taiwanese underground music, you’d be mistaken to think that a lot of it recently seems to revolve around metalcore – the more commercial type. However, you are fully wrong. Punk rock also exists, and has existed, in Taiwan for a long ass time. Sure, in Taiwan (much like the rest of the world) it can’t compete with the sounds and global reach of commercial metalcore, but it does exist.

Punk Strike Festival has stayed committed to their love for punk rock and everything about it. This year’s edition includes 3 stages and 20 punk bands from all over Taiwan, China, Japan, France, and Korea, spread across 3 days in 3 different cities. How sick is that?!

Johnny Pandora (Japan), Bare Teeth (France), Smoking Goose (Korea), Sucker (China), and then of course Taiwan’s own punk bands are fully representing: The Roadside Inn、最後一擊、gogo rise、shoot up、餵飽豬、死胡同、普通隊長、Whaleholic 、The SoSos 、末日之猩、鞋帶、SORA、費莫里、NOISE BOOK 、DARUMA、花渣…and there are others still to be announced.
